The Acura NSX GT3 EVO is a race car developed by Honda Performance Development (HPD) and is designed for FIA GT3 competition worldwide. The car is powered by a twin-turbocharged DOHC V6 engine with a capacity of 3501 cc. The engine is equipped with direct and port fuel injection, drive-by-wire throttle control, and electric wastegate control.
The car’s body is made entirely of carbon fiber, and it weighs less than 2,800 lbs. The dimensions of the car are 2042 mm in width, 2713 mm in wheelbase, and 4592 mm in overall length.
The suspension features a double wishbone at the front and a multilink at the rear. The car is equipped with Sachs 5-way adjustable shock absorbers and Brembo brakes with 390/330mm ventilated rotors.
The Acura NSX GT3 EVO has been successful in racing, with multiple wins in IMSA GTD and SRO GT competition. It meets all of the 2016 GT3 FIA rules and regulations.
In 2022, an enhanced version of the car, designated the NSX GT3 Evo22, was introduced. This version features upgraded engine intercoolers, revised spring rates and suspension geometry, increased fluid tank sizes for endurance racing, wheel system revisions for faster tire changes, and a new FIA-mandated rain light. The NSX GT3 Evo22 is available for new orders and is homologated through 2024.
